Welcome to the
Clear Blue Oceans Foundation
Welcome to the Clear Blue Oceans
Foundation (CBO Foundation) website.
We are the non-profit division of the
APVG's goal is to integrate our non-profit programs and initiatives info its various for-profit businesses to collectively increase ocean issue awareness, such as the need to reduce ocean plastic waste,
overfishing and shark finning.
Due to the recent CoVid-19 Pandemic, the CBO Foundation is and several of its initiatives are in the process of restructuring. We will establish our principal offices in California by late summer 2020, with satellite offices in Hawaii and Las Vegas.
Despite recent set-backs, the CBO Foundation is already working with APVG and several targeted companies to build its socially-focused, self funded environmental brand.
Our proposed programs and initiatives are briefly outlined on this website. They are the cumulative result of many years of research, design and development, driven by our Founder's passion for the oceans and addressing the plastic waste issues that impact them.
To accomplish our collective goals and objectives, APVG developed a new web series called The AngelPreneur, Building The Dream In Real Time (Series), to showcase its business portfolio build out process, as well as our awareness initiatives. The Series starts in late 2020.
The simple fact is that our oceans represent our largest natural food resource on earth, and they produce most of the oxygen we breathe. It is hard for us to understand why so many people are unaware of these facts or why so many take our oceans for granted.
Collectively, our oceans have had over 165 million tons (330 billion U.S. pounds) of plastic and rubber waste deposited into them in just the past 50 years. This waste collects on our coastlines and island beaches, and comes mainly from Asia.
We believe that instead of leaving this waste on our coastlines, in the oceans or in our local landfills, we should recover and repurpose the estimated one (1) gallon of fuel oil from every 10 pounds of waste plastic we can collect, before it ends up on a beach.
Plastic2Power, one of the business models within APVG's, Integrated Impact Driven Ventures unit, and our signature sponsor, will set out to do just that - convert local waste plastic into power, using the syngas produced to fuel turbine electric generators that supply power for its water making plants, vertical indoor farms and cold storage facilities.
Check out their website and our to learn more about the issues. If you would like to make a NON-Tax-deductible donation to help us fund our awareness campaigns or programs, using cash, or the BitCoin or BitCoin Cash cyrptocurrency, we thank you in advance.
Although The CBO Foundation is a privately funded non-profit, it welcomes and accepts private BitCoin crypto-currency donations from our friends, grants and offers program sponsorships to help fund its awareness
initiatives and special programs.

The principal goal and objective of the CBO Foundation is addressing not just ocean plastic waste, but all single-use plastic packaging waste in general at the source, the local consumer level. Click on the image here to download a copy of the recently released UN Report
on the sustainability
of Singe-Use Plastics.
It's a great overview
of the global waste
crisis this waste has
with our partners and
supporters we intend
to help address and
solve this crisis.
The Midway Islands are over a 1,000 miles Northwest of Hawaii, but they collect mountains of plastic waste on their coastlines, killing marine life.
Our Oceans cover 71% of the Earth surface, and they represent our largest natural food and oxygen resource. We must stop over-fishing them.
We humans allow for the killing of over 75 million sharks each year for shark fin soup, a disgusting trend that must be stopped.
Consider that we have allowed close to 39.6 billion gallons of crude oil,
or over 942.9 million barrels of oil (at 42 gallons per barrel) to pollute
and sit within our oceans and coastlines. It is estimated that our local
landfills represent ten times that amount.
Sadly, the single-use plastic packaging waste trends are growing at an
alarming rate today, and we MUST address this crisis. First on a local
level, then expand worldwide. We currently consume A Million Plastic
Bottles EVERY MINUTE, of EVERY DAY! Over 500 BILLION Bottles
each year in the United States alone. Hard to believe, but true.
Although much of this waste ends up on the sea floor, 30% of rubber-based
and single-use plastic packaging waste, such as water bottles collect on the
coastlines, reefs and tropical island beaches. This waste has a lasting and
devastating long-term impact - not just on our oceans and coastlines, but
on our tropical reefs, and the island countries with limited landfill space.
This waste kills over a million sea birds and other marine life annually. The
world's remote islands have been littered with this plastic trash dating back
over 50 years and unless we deal with it - it will remain there forever!
However, even as we improve upon our recycling efforts and collect more of this waste, it does not match the growth of new plastic products coming into the waste stream. The CoVid Pandemic has actually increased the use of plastic packaged products, making this hidden crisis even more urgent.
The CBO Foundation has developed its awareness programs and initiatives to help address this growing plastic waste issue, and APVG and its companies plan to offer viable solutions to help reduce these damaging trends..
We can not deny that we are living in the Age-of-Plastics,
and no matter how hard we try, single-use plastic packaged
products are all around us. We can not avoid them, as plastics
of all kinds have been fully integrated into our daily lives.
Although we are environmentally-focused, neither the CBO
Foundation, APVG or its Founder are anti-plastic. They simply
recognize it for what it is - a growing waste crisis and merely
advocate to reduce its use on the retail level.
We must all ask ourselves, "Do we really need cookies, apples and many of these products packaged in plastic boxes? No! They can be placed in paper bags or boxes. Despite the fear of CoVid-19 and craze to wrap everything in plastic, we must manage the waste we generate better. This is our principal goal - to reduce the flow of these waste products from entering our landfills and oceans.
The CBO Foundation was first launched in 2007 with the original objective being to build Marissa's Reef For Heavenly Helpers, (Marissa's Reef) an aquatic memorial exhibit to honor our Founder's first Granddaughter
Marissa Reyes, born on his birthday in1998, but at the age of seven, swept to her death in a flash flood in Carefree, Arizona on August 9, 2005.
This proposed legacy memorial project has taken many turns over the years, and has been rendered for many global locations, like the Island of Maui, Hawaii (above). Shortly after Marissa passed, our Founder designed the concept and promised her spirit that one day he would build it. That remains his driving force and passion behind both his personal and businesses today, and the CBO Foundation efforts over 15 years later as well.
Marissa's Reef is funded in part through the support of our sponsors and private donors, was redesigned over the years to honor not just Marissa, but other children lost due to natural events. These children will be called SpiritFish (Marissa's Heavenly Helpers), each represented by one of over 100,000 reef fish, stingrays, sea turtles and other reef life that will call Marissa's Reef aquarium home for eternity.
Marissa and her Helpers will be watched over by a handsome grey ReefShark (APVG Founder ), which is why he was tagged with the nick name The Shark years ago. Today, the project is targeted to be built within a California vineyard setting, along with our CBO Vineyard proposed wine brands. We will set out "To Save A Fish - One Glass Of Wine At A Time".
"We all came out of the Oceans, which has a soul that flows and lives within each of us.
They represent everything we should all long to be; bold and mysterious,
beautiful to look at, yet even more beautiful as we look below the surface
to see a wild, yet free world we all need to collectively preserve."
