The Inside Story Behind the
CBO Foundation and Founder
The CBO Foundation, is the non-profit division of the AngelPreneur Venture Group (APVG), a privately-held Wyoming "Family Office" or Asset Management and Venture Development Firm.
Collectively, our partnership represents many years of planning, research, design, and ongoing refinement by our founder Peter "The AngelPreneur" Ortmann, aka: The Shark (in logo), or Petey, as his friends and close associates refer to him.
In 2003, The Shark, an offshore sailor who grew up along the California coast, later sailing the Caribbean and Islands in the South Pacific, set out to address the global ocean plastic waste issues head on. He recognized that a true global crisis was in the making!
To address the issues he set out to build a number of diversified for-profit businesses that could self-fund our non-profit initiatives. This efforts grew into the Mother of All Start-ups and a Series to promote them that APVG is now in the process of undertaking.
This website represents merely a snapshot of sorts from what the CBO Foundation non-profit programs and initiatives are, how they are designed to work seamlessly with APVG for-profit businesses and how they will accomplish our collective goals and objectives to address the ocean issues.
Getting to this point has cost millions of dollars and incurred many set-backs. However, these experiences have been integrated into a new winning strategy supported by internet technologies that were not available when when The Shark first started his journey in 2003.
The CBO Foundation will operate as a stand-alone non-profit organization, supported by APVG as its Founding Partner, and its principal business: Integrated Impact-Driven Ventures Inc (Integrated Ventures),
plus the support of its corporate and individual sponsors and advertisers.
We are NOT currently a 501(c)3 US Federal tax exempt organization, however, once we have more clearly defined our core project needs, corporate location and staffing, we will obtain our tax exempt status. (expected in late 2020). Our global BitCoin or BitCoin Cash donors are not eligible for tax donations, but we thank them all for their support.
Although much has transpired over the years, the waste crisis has only grown much larger than even The Shark thought possible. Our integrated approach to communicating and addressing the waste issue today remains disruptive by design, as we become part of The Shark's large-scale vision and entertainment marketing strategy.
Success, and making the CBO Foundation the next iconic self-funded environmental ocean-focused brand of our time. never-the-less, will require millions of people worldwide to take action and participate in our various online interactions. Our Founder, like Walt Disney, believes "If You Can Dream It - You Can Build It", and that "nothing worth having ever comes easy" .
Solving the global single-use plastic packaging waste crisis will be anything but easy. However, it is a crisis we must all help solve, and we welcome you aboard in that effort. As Joel A. Barker, an American Author was once quoted "Vision without action is merely a dream. Action without Vision just passes time. Vision with action can change the world." Let's get started!
"Here’s to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the
troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.” – Steve Jobs. We agree with Steve!
