An Overview of the CBO

 SandDollar Medallion Reward

The CBO Foundation is a privately-funded Hawaii non-profit organization that is NOT currently a 501 (c)3 Tax Exempt organization, per the U.S. Internal Revenue Service (IRS). We will seek that status once our programs and initiatives are established and operating.

In the meantime, we will offer a series of sponsorship plans and an Ad Partner

website advertising program to help fund our initiatives. We will also accept private contributions, and for every $250 in contribution, gift the contributor with a custom minted, limited edition (numbered), one ounce .999 pure CBO Silver SandDollar Medallion (CBO Medallions), as its thank you (shown above).

We will allocate eighty-percent (80%) of all contributions made to the benefit of one or more of our programs or initiatives, with the CBO Foundation retaining 20% of all gross contributions to cover administration, marketing, medallion costs, plus banking transaction fees.

Our Silver SandDollar Medallion rewards program is structured much like a group rewards-based crowd-funding program, which allows both individuals and corporate contributors to self-direct their contributions (the 80% value) to support one or more of our programs or initiatives they wish to support. The worksheet shown on the upper right is a mock-up sample form of what that online allocation page will look like, once we begin accepting contributions.

Most non-profit organizations offer a t-shirt, hat or other gift item to thank them for their support. The CBO Foundation has designed our rewards program to thank its donors with our CBO Silver SandDollar Medallion (CBO Medallions). We will issue one CBO Medallion for every $250 in total cumulative lifetime contribution made to us, on a first come basis, up to 50,000 total.  Although all contributors will be eligible to receive them, we limit the total gifted to any single contributor to 100 CBO Medallions maximum (for up to $25,000 in total contributions).

Donors will have the option to receive their CBO Medallions, once minted and available, or they can elect to trade each of their gifted Medallions in for one of the following alternate gifts; 1) 25,000 in Bonus SD$ (Virtual currency) of the The Tropical Reef Travel Rewards MySandDollar$ (MSD$) program, or 2) for a ReefShark Apparel Credit Voucher of $100/00 These credit vouchers can be redeemed for online purchases in the APVG ReefShark online Logo-branded store, for travel offers or other values yet to be determined.

Our limited edition CBO Medallions are offered merely as a collectable incentive reward for helping fund our programs and initiatives. They are not considered legal U.S. tender or currency, and they have no cash value. APVG has agreed to accept any and all CBO Medallions from contributors who wish to exchange them for credits as stated herein or other values as may be offered in the future.

The Clear Blue Oceans Foundation (CBO
